| IDC Quality Improvement Management Report |
During FY 2011, Mount Rogers IDC provided services to 439 individuals, 38 percent of whom have an intellectual disability. The IDC also provided services to persons with mental health issues, physical disabilities, and individuals with multiple disabilities.
The following achievements were noted during FY 2011:
Production

The Smyth IDC started production of the Advanced Combat Helmet Cover with Enhanced Night Vision Goggles, and the Enhanced Combat Helmet Cover.

The IDC started production of the Advanced Combat Shirt, with estimated annual quantities of 144,000 units per year.

The Twin County IDC started production of the Navy Working Uniform Helmet Cover.

Availability of work for individuals served increased from 67% in FY 2010 to 86% in FY 2011.

Satisfaction

96% satisfaction was noted by individuals receiving services and family members and caregivers. Concerns were associated with lay-offs in Extended Employment and lack of air conditioning in the work areas.

98% of referral/funding agents noted an overall satisfaction. Concerns were associated with greater communication regarding the status of referrals and the need for more community-based work.
